We at On A Wing And A Prayer horse farm have had a great deal of interaction with the Reata Veterinary group in the recent months. They helped get our mare in foal this year. The experience has been first rate. They are always kind, respectful and responsive. Always returning your calls as soon as possible. The experience and the knowledge that Dr. Conaway brings with him is irreplaceable. I loved the fact that he was as happy as we were about our mare being in foal. We gladly recommend Reata Veterinary to any one in the equine world.
Reata is amazing. They were the only place that would come out to see my horse when I started using them years ago. She was choking and it was extremely late. I had called multiple vets and could not find anyone to come out. When I called Reata, Dr. Pearson was there within 15 minutes. She provided exceptional care and followed up with me a few days later. Dr. Pearson has been out to multiple other emergencies and well checks for my horses and Dr. Conway recently came out for an emergency. Again, his care was beyond what was expected and he continued to follow up with how my mare was doing. I will use Reata for all of my equine unless they are absolutely unavailable. They are truly one of the great equine vets left in Tucson. They truly care about your animals like their own.
All the staff are super knowledgeable and kind. Everyone knows how to behave around horses in a way that makes the horses and their owners feel relaxed and happy. I love this group and everyone else whose booked them seems to love them too!
I have an emergency this am.... with my gelding... I called everyone... and the normal response was either non call back or maybe tomorrow... but Reata didn't fail my gelding! they responded, rearranged and made it happen for my boy. They are still an amazing veterinary team and I am completely GREATFUL. HIGHLY recommend.

We had an excellent shot clinic at Rancho San Cayetano today with Dr. Henrichs and his team. All went smoothly with wellness exams and spring vaccines for all. Dr. Henrichs answered questions from owners, shared loads of information, and handled the horses in a caring way. The Reata team kept things moving efficiently and it was a full day of healthy horses. We're happy to have Reata for routine care and available as needed for emergency services. Excited for their new hospital in Vail to be able to haul into. Many thanks to Dr. Henrichs and the Reata team for their services today.
My horse had colic on a Sunday. I found Dr. Hendricks after she didn’t improve for 6 hours. He spent 5 more hours with my horse continually keeping the pain tolerable while treating me as well. He finally gave her a long lasting sedative —-next morning she was better!! He sent me a a detailed report (several pages) of everything he did. Today, 18 months later she’s awesome and jumping and enjoying being 19 years old. I think Jonathan is beyond the best!!
I had a horse step on himself and almost detach his hoof capsule. Dr. Hendricks came out for an emergency call and basically saved my horses life. He thoroughly followed up with amazing after care as well. I can’t thank him and Reata Equine enough.
I called Reata for a proud flesh wound on my quarter horse. Dr. Hendricks came out. Him and his tech were amazing! They were so knowledgeable, caring, and efficient. This is a lovely place. My horse is seen by Reata equine. When I realized they now see dogs and cats too, I decided to bring mine. It is a relaxing environment with caring staff.
